About
The Club
FC Denton is Denton,TX's first grass-roots, organic, non GMO, minor league soccer club; currently competing in the first division of the Metroplex Premier League.
The first FC Denton team was formed in 2006 by Roberto Ramirez and was re-established in 2012 by former player, Carlos Olate, with the goal to build Denton's first minor league soccer team and serve as a springboard for local players. In 2018, the club finally achieved this goal by joining the United Premier Soccer League, bringing the first minor league soccer team to the Denton,TX area. Since then, the club has seen several players move on to collegiate, semi-professional, and professional teams; with one founding their own UPSL team (NTX Legends).
After two seasons in the UPSL, missing playoff spots in both seasons, the club decided it had to reevaluate its options to stay operational and in 2020 joined the newly formed Metroplex Premier League for its inaugural season. The move ensures FC Denton can continue to compete at a high level and be that club to help local players find their way to bigger and better games.
The League
Metroplex Premier League is a Regional Dallas – Fort Worth Area soccer
